Nurture & Share: Faith Formation

Faith Formation continues to be a viable outlet for our children and young people during our pre-service time on Sunday from 9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.  Our Faith Formations Team provides our young people with Bible Lessons, based on the Lectionary, with opportunities of expression through music, arts and crafts.  Our older students assist in leading lessons for the younger ones and being Christian role models. Throughout the year we also offer time for our older youth to gather on Sunday evenings for fellowship and learning how faith can guide our lives and help our youth live in the world and navigate the teenage years.

Our Faith Formation Team is staffed by dedicated adult volunteers who share their love of Christ with all children.  Their leadership is essential in teaching prepared lessons and preparing special presentations. We also offer a church library that is a wonderful resource for further individual, family, and life-long learning opportunities.

Faith Formation for adults is also a crucial part of our life-long learning ministry. Adults can participate in a variety of Bible Studies and discussions for women, men, and co-eds that are offered on Sunday morning and throughout the week.

Sunday Faith Formation for adults now involves the people of Lutheran Church of Our Savior as well as St. Peter’s. This partnership allows us to grow our community of adult learners and use resources unique to this relationship. We are excited to continue to grow this connection and for adults from both congregations to grow in their faith.

The goal of our Faith Formation Program is to inspire and teach students of all ages about faith, the love of Christ, and to equip each person to live a life of faith while loving and serving others.
